Retreats
Meditative practice deepens through continuity in daily life and is sustained through regular periods of dedicated retreat. Ven. Gendun currently offers five extended retreats per year — ranging from foundational vipaśyanā and lojong to kriya tantra, śamatha, mahāmudrā, and more — available both live and online through the respective centers. To further support practitioners of the In-Depth Meditation Training (IDMT) and Ngöndro Lamrim Training (NLRT), two retreats on compassion and insight respectively are made freely available on this website each year.

Frequently Asked Questions
The two retreats bring together the complementary dimensions of the IDMT: training in compassion, insight, and calm abiding — the latter a feature of every retreat Ven. Gendun leads. Each year, the commentary is adapted to the current theme of the four-year IDMT cycle. The retreats are available exclusively to active participants in the IDMT or NLRT, and are tailored to their needs.
The recordings of guided meditations and teachings are streamed directly through this website. Practitioners also receive a downloadable booklet containing motivational prayers, dedications, and root texts — such as relevant sūtras and lojong texts — suited to the theme of the retreat.
